OLED Technologies B.V.
Our Technology
PCAP20
The Company is currently creating its next generation of single line production equipment. This equipment includes new proprietary processes for printing various types of materials onto customized substrates, and new approaches to encapsulating displays. The Company concentrates heavily on research and development, and is developing new processes, printing capability and contained manufacturing environments, to make display products using polymer light emitting diode, soluable smoled and phosphorescent, or doped dry smoled material.
The PCAP20 is the World's first single line process to make OLED Displays. It uses ink jet printers to deposit polymer light emitting diodes on substrates, and has an advanced process for sealing these depositions with thin film encapsulation. It is scheduled for release in Q4 2009.
PCAP48
OTBv is building its next generation single line process for display making. The PCAP48 uses Gen4 glass. It is capable of producing 3.5 displays for mobile devices or TV screens with 15 diagonals. It is designed to achieve a TACT time of 2 minutes per substrate, and an uptime of 80 percent on a 24/7 basis. The potential for uniformity in production that is the basis of single-line processing, allows OTBv to work toward achieve yields of 80 percent after ramp-up.
The PCAP48 is also being developed to manufacture OLED display panels up to 46 inch in diagonal.
Associated Technologies
To achieve its goals, the Company is fashioning relationships with suppliers of supportive technologies in such fields as mechatronics, alignment systems, visual quality monitoring and inspection, sensors, reliability systems, and software for controlling processes and equipment, communicating and reporting. The PCAP48 is being designed to demonstrate the best of frontier technology in these fields. OTBv has begun collaboration with a number of Dutch companies that provide technology for systems of the kind OTBv is commercializing. Below are links to some of those companies:
